Mara's Wedding In Nauvoo

We just got back from a whirlwind trip to Iowa and Nauvoo. Mara and Ben got married on last Friday, and it was so fun to see it all go down. We had a great time with cousins, aunts and uncles and grandma and grandpa. However, we are happy to be out of the car again.

Our Attempt at Timpanogos Caves

On Saturday, we decided to take a little hike to the Timpanogos Cave. I guess we should have taken it as a sign to not go when the kids were whining before we left the house. But no, we pressed on and headed out. An hour and a half later, we finally found the caves (which are no more than 20 minutes from our house). Then, Nathan found out there was an hour and a half wait to get in the caves. So needless to say, we decided to just do a little hiking by ourselves. I don't think we nor the girls were ready for that kind of wait after such a long drive. Besides the water breaks every 10 steps, we had a pretty good time.

Just Livin' Life

We haven't really been up to much lately. These are just a few random shots of our recent life. Here is Mia and Gilbert getting ready for bed together. I think the picture is pretty funny.
Libbie is looking mighty grown up with her up-do.

Mallory is really growing up too. She's even started to say a few words. None of them really count until she says mommy though.

Squeaky Clean!

Well, we had an adventurous weekend of sorts. With our friends Ben and Aubrey, we went on an over-nighter to Wasatch Mountain State Park in Midway, UT. The heat was SCORCHING and our kids were dirty from head to toe in a matter of seconds. Mallory decided to eat the dirt a couple times - something I just cannot understand. We ate some good dutch oven food, but O don't think we were too excited to be cooking over hot coals when it was 100 degrees out. Then to top it off, there was a boose and country music party in the campsite across the road that didn't ajourn until after 1:00 AM. Needless to say, when morning came, we were ready to break camp. I think we were out of there by 9:30. I guess the great thing is that it's just one more funny memory to look back on.

Mia is looking quite clean!

Here are four of our raggamuffins. I think they had a great time though.
MMM. Yummy!

Cuties Playing Dress-Up

Here the girls are playing dress-up on Sunday night.

This is just a cute picture of Mia with her freshly cut hair. She looks pretty sweet and innocent here.

Boondocks

Nathan's company party was held at Boondocks last friday. We had a great time in the arcade, and the girls were able to buy some choice prizes with their tickets. We also played "stress miniature golf" in the 100 degree heat, rode go-carts, and did bumper boats.

Libbie's 5th Birthday!

Libbie celebrated her 5th birthday on July 13. She, Alexis, and Mia went to see the movie Cars. Libbie's favorite part of any movie is the popcorn. That night, we had pizza and cake. Her request for her cake was Diego, Dora's adventurous cousin. I humiliated myself enough last year by attempting to make a Dora cake so I took the easy way out this year. Anyway, I think she had a good birthday - however she did point out that "we only got her 5 presents". Oh the gratitude!

Family Time

I thought Mom would really enjoy this picture. No I am not a crazy cat lady. Tee Hee!

Recently, Erin and Francisco visited us
for a bit, and all the kids had a great time
together!

Cousin Party!

Here are all the Cardon cousins at our house last week. They had a fun sleepover together.

What We've Been Up To

Thiokol Lagoon Day!

Grandma's favorite time of the day was when she took Mia to the bathroom. When it was Grandma's turn to go, Mia questioned, "Grandma, you have big pannies?" It gave us all a good laugh.

Libbie loved all the rides. She wanted to stay there forever and keeps reminiding us that we need to go back.

Here is Mia enjoying the Merrry-Go-Round. She looks absolutely thrilled - doesn't she? What a fart!

Mallory's First Birthday!

Classic picture of a one-year-old eating their birthday cake. Cute isn't she?

We went swimming at the Lehi Pool. They had a lot of fun.
