We just got back from a fun trip to New York City with all of Nathan's siblings and their spouses. It was so much fun to see the sights and spend time with Nathan's family. Here are some of the pics of the things we did and saw. Above is Nathan and I at the Museum of Natural History by the "dum, dum" statue.
We arose at the crack of dawn to see the Good Morning America Counting Crows concert at Bryant Park. We thought for sure we were going to be too late to see anything, but I guess no one really cared to see the band because there wasn't much of a crowd. Unfortunately, the lead singer seemed to be high on some sort of substance and kept showing his bum crack to everyone during his crazy dancing.
Nathan's main objective of the trip was to see the Yankees play in Yankee Stadium before they tear it down after this season. We sat in the bleachers with the craziest, foulest bunch of New Yorkers you've ever seen. Yikes! It was rather amusing and eye-opening.

The day we went to the Statue of Liberty it was sooooo cold. The wind was just whipping and the rain kept falling. Here are some of the troops on our way out to Lady Liberty.

We went to the Broadway Show Curtains on our final day in New York. We decided this activity should have happened on our first day there. Almost everyone slept through the first act. Can you believe it...sleeping through a Broadway Show? It was rather sad, but we were soooo tired. Of what we saw, we can definitely give it two thumbs up.
Here is where George Washington was sworn into office. Luckily Rich found some friendly Iowans to take our picture after standing by the statue for about 5 minutes.

This trip was only possible through the help of Nathan's saintly mother. She kept our four girls for 6 LONG days. We are so happy she was willing to help us out - tantrums, obnoxious neighbors, cooking, cleaning, spoiling, and entertaining. Thanks Denice. We love you!
