Winding Down

I can't believe it's nearly over! It seems it just began. Our summer is sadly winding down, and we are really trying to relish the final warmth of the season. Here are some pictures of our latest adventures (that's what we call them anyway). The girls at the Children's Garden at Thanksgiving Point. We had a good time in their splash park. And would you look at the picture below -- we've come a long way this summer when it comes to our buggy friends. Mia is holding a potato bug. She's also been seen holding worms, ladybugs, moths, and caterpillars. I am such a proud mama. Well, maybe I am just thrilled I don't have to hear her shrieking, blood-curdling scream at the sight of a fly.

Our summer wouldn't be complete without a trip to the Box Elder County Fair for a burger and the Golden Spike Arena for a rodeo. The girls got a big kick out of the mutton busting, and the cowboys had some great rides on the broncos. YEE HAWW! Here we all are at the oldest rodeo in Utah...Hey Mom, look at what Mrs. Crook is doing to you.

My little cutie pie.

Libbie started the second grade this year. Oh my goodness!

Another photo of our sweetie.

Now that Claire has a titch of hair, Libbie takes every opportunity to give her a new do.

Cute Cute CUTE. I can't belive summer is over for you guys. It makes me sick for you that it's going to get all cold. Your girls look really cute. I'm jealous you got to go to the fair. When I looked at that picture of you at the rodeo I said to Hannah, "I think my PE teacher is giving my mom the bunny ears" and then I read below and saw that it was. That was funny.

Stacy, once again--awesome photos! I love the one of all the girls. Wow, they sure get big fast! And your 2nd grader looks adorable in her new first-day-of-school clothes! How exciting! I just took my boys to the rodeo here in Salmon last week, and I haven't been to the rodeo since I went to the one at the B.E. Fair 11 years ago. I love watching cowboys!!! I sat by your grandma at church in my parents ward 2 weeks ago. We talked about you for a moment before I had to start chasing my baby around! So sad to see summer end, isn't it?!

Now my summer doesn't feel quite complete without the rodeo involved. I think we used to attend that rodeo with you once in awhile - it was fun.
Your little girls are adorable like always.

Your girls are so cute! I can't believe your husband runs that far, its hard to believe people like to run that much (I only wished I did). Cute pic of the rodeo. Looks like a lot of fun! It was so good to see you two times this summer. We still need to get together and meet in the middle sometime. Have you kept in contact with Nicola??

Congrats on the bug lovin' fest. We have enjoyed being in that club for a while now- it's amazing! But, what an inexpensive past time- just set them free in the back yard and yippee - the fun begins!
