Double-Digits

Libbie has been guilt-tripping me for months because we found out I would be leaving for Young Women's camp on her birthday. Therefore, we celebrated for nearly 4 days straight to compensate for my bad parenting. Wyatt was willing to share his first birthday celebration with Libbie so we had a little family gathering on Sunday night before her birthday. She requested Angry Bird cupcakes and that's what I attempted. Nathan was also patient enough to brave the torrential downpour we had that night as he grilled us up some pizza. Libbie is sure getting so old and mature! We can't believe our baby girl is already 10. She is such a help to us and pretty darn funny.

This year Libbie invited just a few friends over for a little party. I think it turned out pretty fun if I do say so myself. We played a few games and had a scavenger hunt. Here are some pics of different tasks they had to perform in order to get clues.

Libbie decided to take a few of her buddies to a local restaurant to do one of their new eating challenges "Ethel's Challenge". They had to eat 12 scoops of ice cream (one of each of the flavors they offer) plus every topping they have. Although they say it got pretty gross at the bottom of the bowl, but they managed to finish in less than 20 minutes.

Those cupcakes are sure cute! And that ice cream looks a lot bigger than I was picturing when she was explaining it to me for some reason. I'm still not too surprised that they could finish it though. :)

I can't believe my first grand child is 10 years old - I must be ancient! She is an adorable girl and I've loved spending the last 10 years getting to know and love her. Thanks for sharing her birthday - sorry I missed it.
