Number 4's Number 6

Hard to believe, but Claire turned 6 last month. We were lucky enough to have her cousins staying with us so the fun was only multiplied.  She requested cinnamon rolls from Dad for breakfast. He delivered like he always does.

She also had her first "friend party" this year since we're mean and make them wait until they're in kindergarten.  She invited a few fun friends, and there was a lot, I mean A LOT, of girls in our house when you add all her sisters and cousins. First item of business when everyone arrived was making mini pizzas.  Everyone did great, and it was a fun activity.  After pizza-making, we made a little bunny craft out of washcloths while the pizzas were baking.  They turned out cute, but weren't quite easy enough for this age group so they required a lot of "help".  It was quite crazy for a bit with Nathan manning the oven, me doing the craft for 10 kids, and Tyce wanting attention.  Thankfully,  I had Nathan and Libbie there to help minimize the chaos.
 Mallory and Molly making pizza.

We played some fun bunny-themed games including Pin the Tail on the Bunny, Don't Eat the Bunny, and we hunted for carrots.  Here's Claire with all the tails and her eyes half-shut (she takes after her daddy).

Passing presents to the music to see which one she'll open.

Next was cake.  This cake was nearly a complete disaster.  I made a whipped topping for it that on first attempt completely slid off the cake.   Thankfully it all worked out and tasted yummy.

All our party guests with their bunnies and silly faces.
For dinner we went to Chick-fil-A.  It was soooo crowded there wasn't a single open booth so we took it to go and headed home to partake.

Claire all wide-eyed trying to prove she can take a picture where her eyes stay open.
Her only birthday wish was a recliner?  I don't know? With these children it's always a mystery.  She's enjoyed watching a few movies in her new comfy chair. Claire is such a fun girl and so helpful.  We love having her in our family!
