Claire, Izzie, and Lizzy
Mallory had to up and graduate from elementary school. I'm not sure why our girls keep doing this to us. Mallory is so excited for her move to middle school so I guess it makes this transition a little easier.
Tyce is a circus peanuts freak to say the least! We are having a hard time with the words "shut up" at our house, so when he made it one week with saying it 10 times or less, it was no surprise he chose this as his treat (then proceeded to consume it's contents in one evening).
We were sure not to let National Donut Day pass us by this year. Woo!
The elementary school gave out free drink coupons to Sodalicious on the last day of school so we used those up real quick to kick off the beginning of summer.
Double duty
Swimming/lazing around in the backyard
Tycie boy turned 4. He has been so excited for his special day. Dad made him cinnamon rolls for breakfast.
Then on to his beloved Cubby's for his extra beloved fries. This kid could live on fries and circus peanuts :)
And...he absolutely LOVES the pool. That's where we headed next.
New bike.
Super lame cake. We had different ideas for its outcome but had to switch directions when it didn't quite work out. He didn't seem to mind too much thankfully.
New Curious George tea set.
Marci invited us to join her and some co-workers at her employer's family park. It was beautiful. And lucky for us, Grandma and Papa were in town for a wedding so we got to hang out with them a little too.
Saratoga Splash's carnival was a big hit with the kids this year. We couldn't get enough of the eternal Scrambler. Grandma was a great sport to ride with Jaren one go-around.
Fun wagon was found at the car show.
Next up was Mallory's birthday. She's now 12 which means lots of exciting things for her.
Dad made her orange rolls for breakfast. Then we had lunch at Aubergine - Acai bowls and Brazilian cheese rolls.
The Beehives decorated our door to welcome Mallory into Young Women's.
Finally a ukulele of her own.
For her friend party, she took a few friends out for shave ice and then swimming at the Lehi pool. It appears as though I didn't take pictures or the pictures have been lost. Sniff.
Mother/Daughter Activity Days Luau. We ate pork sandwiches, learned some hula, and painted nails. Claire was a big help since I was on the committee and much of our time together was spent working to make the night a success. She's such a sweetie.
Mia started a pet-sitting business this summer. She stayed quite busy with it and earned a fair amount of money. Proud of her for making a go at it. Here she is with our own pup Kona and one of her regular clients, Zoe.
The Activity Days girls got to attend Camp Jeremiah this summer. They did some rafting, sling shots, rifles, and archery. Besides the 100-degree weather, I'd say it was a hit.
We tried out a new monster-sized splash park with Courtney, Olivia, Hannah, and her girls. It was maybe not as warm as we'd like for playing in the water but they had fun on the playground that's on site anyway.
Jaren had me take about 324 photos of him in this exact pose all over the park. It was amusing.
Marci hooked up with us for a couple hikes. We didn't get nearly as many in this summer as I was hoping, but I'm glad to have gotten in these done. The first one was Donut Falls. It was a chilly, chilly start. Glad we packed the jackets.
Our next hike was a nightmare mostly...Stuart Falls. It was soooo busy - including a cross country camp that would run by us a full speed down a very narrow trail. We also had a fair amount of whining which makes a hike soo pleasant :). It may be a while before I will revisit this place.
I've become a Scrooge about camping. I'm not sure how it's happened but, it has. Thankfully the girls are willing to have tent sleepovers in the backyard to appease the boys on occasion.
