A little randomness

Not too much has been going on around here except the beginning of a new tax season and a whole lot of the girls an I being cooped up with cold, after cold. Spring can not come fast enough! However, we have ventured out to see Libbie play some basketball. She has really improved this season, and is holding her own amongst all the boys. I am so proud of her.

It's official. I now have 5 heads of hair to do everyday (inluding me of course). But I am thinking she looks pretty cute with her new piggies.

Rachel and Mia making cookies...mmmmm....

One More..

Can't Believe It!

We cannot believe she turned one yesterday. It seems this year has flown by...and then again, it seemed to pass by so slowly. Time is a weird thing. Claire had a bear cake, and she devoured her portion quite quickly.

The girls gave Claire some instruments. They all had a great time using them.

And let's not forget that Libbie has started basketball again. She's scored twice in both of her last games. Here is a tiny bit of proof caught on camera.

Cute, Cute Cousins

Through the unfortunate and unexpected passing of my Grandpa Oyler, Jake and his family made a trip home. Although the circumstances of their visit wasn't desireable, we were able to enjoy seeing one another for a few days. Here are some of the high points. And can I just say that we have some pretty cute gals in this family.

Grandma and Grandpa delighting in all their feminine off-spring.

Grandpa set up a tea party for the girls that got a little out of hand...notice the powdered sugar all over their faces, instead of all over their donuts.

Nothing beats a rousing game of Elefun at Grandma's house.

Grandpa even took the girls outside to delight in all the snow. Brrrrr. What a trooper their Grandpa is.

Much to Grandma's dismay, Grandpa gave the girls permission to jump on their water bed. They had some fun I think. Sorry Mom.

I found Mallory and Molly trying to squeeze themselves into this little cubby in the headboard. So cute. Sorry again Mom.

The Morning...and Guess What...He Came!

Here are the girls with their "make your own Build-a-Bear" Grandma Cardon sent them for Christmas. They are loving them and had a great time designing their animals' clothes.

New gorgeous dresses from Grandma Jill. Mia informed Nathan she was never taking hers off because "it's her bestest dress ever."

Claire looking super cute in her new outfit from Grandma.

Christmas morning we ventured out into the snow to my mom's house. The weather was fine everywhere but where we live and where they live. We got stuck in their driveway, and the power was out. It didn't stop us from having a great time and great food though. Dad warmed some yummy dip on the grill, and mom's roast had thankfully cooked earlier in the day and was still warm. Just as we were taking bets on when the power would return, it came back on. Wooo Hooo. It was really beginning to get cold.

Mallory got her "Boots scooter".

Mia asked Santa for Lucky the Wonder Pup.

Santa brought Libbie her requested "roll-over pup".

Good times!

We had a fun Christmas Eve with Caleb, Marci, Gavin, and Henry. Just a lot of food, sledding, and playing. Here are some of the hi-lights of the evening.

Christmas Dance

I wasn't sure how to put the actual video of the girls dancing on my blog, so if you want to check it out, you can copy and paste the link.

Winter Showcase

The girls had their winter showcase for dance last night.  It wasn't anything fancy, just at the studio, but is was sure fun to see what they've been learning. And, I think they are pretty darn cute.

Pictures like this never cease to amaze me...WE HAVE FOUR GIRLS! Wow.. It's pretty fun.
Claire is really enjoying her new found eating freedom - in case you can't tell.  Below is one of Claire's favorite pastimes...dumping out the cat's water. If it's within her reach, she makes it a goal to spill and splash. And boy does she find pleasure in  the task.
