One afternoon last month, we decided last-minute to hike Stuart Falls. It was a little more treacherous than I remember it being for little people, but we all survived. It's hikes like this that reminds me we don't hike enough. The whining is a bit much for me. I think we were all happy by the end of our journey though.
Mallory by a cool broken tree.
Finally the mean parents let them stop for a water break. See how excited Libbie is to be hiking?
Daddy and Jaren. Our baby backpack broke so Nathan carried Jaren most the way to the falls since there were steep drop-offs nearly the whole way.
When we got to the falls, a dark cloud rolled in along with some loud thunder. We decided we better book it back to the car. Nathan carried Claire, and I carried Jaren. It was a work-out for sure. Our goal time to make it back to the car was 45 min. We didn't quite make it that quick but almost. And we were spared from the rain and lightning to boot.
