Spooktacular

 A couple weeks ago I got to go to a mother/daughter Halloween activity with Libbie.  Look mom, I really am a cat lady.  Ha ha.  And Libbie's a waitress named Flo.

 Last weekend Marci invited us to attend their ward's "trunk or treat".  The kids were excited to wear their Halloween costumes early...or was it to eat candy early?  Wyatt and Jaren are quite the pair.  I sure do enjoy seeing them run around together. 

 Claire seems to be keeping an eye on Henry.  He does make a very good vampire.

 And here are our pumpkins for 2012.  It's quite an adventure helping all these kids get their pumpkins cleaned out and carved to their liking. Mia designed her pumpkin and Jaren's.  Libbie and Mallory tried using some ideas we found on pinterest, and Claire just wanted a "normal" eyes, nose, and mouth. No, that does not mean squares and triangles.  In fact, I'm still not sure what "normal" is to her.  Oh well, she didn't complain at the end result.

 Mia wanted to be a candy corn, but her mother's lack of creativity and energy didn't make that happen.  After what seemed like thousands of costume pages on Amazon, she settled on a Tootsie Roll.  She was proud to report that she's pretty sure she was the only piece of candy at school (unless you count a guy dressed as a marshmallow - which she claims is not candy). You be the judge.

My camera decided to be out of batteries when I took it out to get pictures of the kids before they headed out to trick-or-treat.  Shoot!  Anyway, my battery had charged by the time they returned so here is Claire checking out her grotesque amount of spoils.  She was a very tired, yet very happy little Belle.  Now, how to make all this candy disappear before I eat it all myself while they are at school?
