We got to have "the boys" over for a couple days while Caleb and Marci had a quick getaway. We tried to pack in some fun...swimming, shaved ice, movies, smores, church, and parks in the blazing heat.
In all honesty, it was too warm to be standing over a fire roasting marshmallows, but we worked with what we had. I, for one, ate my fair share of s'mores.
Gavin multitasking.
Nathan teaching Henry to baby his marshmallow.
The view from our roasting spot...view of the Saratoga valley looking over Utah lake.
Tyce taking full advantage of the sunroof on the way down from roasting mallows.
A mean game of "LIFE". I'm afraid to know how late they were up finishing this game.
We also puppysat Rocky while they were gone and Olivia got to come play too. It was a full house.
Later in the day after the boys and rocky went home, we had a sprinkler party at the Oyler's house for a bit.
Tyce turned 3! What? Check out the cool sign Libbie made for him.
He had his picture taken by all his birthday signs. Here's just a couple of them.
When asked what he wanted for his birthday, the only thing he'd say was, "A Star Wars cake." Well, I tried. Ha ha.
We went to the curiosity museum for some birthday fun and then to Cubby's for dinner. He loves him some french fries.
Jake, Hannah and their girls came over for cake. Thankfully when the kids found a snake, Jake was happy to dispose of the nasty little thing, but not before the brave ones gave him a pet.
Mallory turned 11 this month. Wow, time just keeps trucking along. Her first gift of the day was from Aunt Marci...a fun grown-up coloring book and some colored pencils. She got busy with it right away.
After Dad got home from work, all the girls went to Color Me Mine for some pottery-painting. Some of us were decisive and quick at painting and others of us were very, very slow. Sloth-like really. Sorry everyone :/.
After painting, it was time for presents, pizza, and cake. She wanted a grasshopper cake.
Working on her new lego set.
She's certainly looking quite grown up.
This kid could "do dishes" all day long.
One of Mallory's best buds from he whole life moved away last month. We had to squeeze in a couple late nights full of silliness and some interesting dress-up sessions.
