Breckenridge Never Disappoints

We had the opportunity to go to Breckenridge for the Cardon Reunion again this summer.  The weather is perfect, the entertainment is great, and the company is even greater.
The middle sillies getting in a quick ride soon after we arrived.
One of the first activities of the reunion is "the cousin exchange". The kids get so excited to get and give a gift. They also "get" to give the person that gave them a gift a hug.  They love this part :).

 Bike riding around Lake Dillon.
Lunch at our half-way point...lots of rocks are thrown by the little people.
Father's Day photo. All the daddies with their chillens.
 Foosball was a hit.
As well as the pool table.
Grandma had a fiesta for the kids when all the other adults were treated to a dinner without parental responsibilities.  They made cupcakes and decorated maracas.  Then Grandma paraded them around in conga line.  This lady is a gem.

Story time with just a small tribe of kiddos.
Claire all ready for church and making that dandelion look like a rose.
 The ever popular gondola!

 Tradition!
Why do they only hug when they're trying to annoy each other?
On Father's Day, the kids decorated a cupcake to represent their dad.
Two things about this picture. #1 Jaren was a trooper on our little hike. Grandma had a scavenger hunt all planned out for the kids to keep them entertained. #2 Crystal had these hats made for all the cousins with a corresponding birth place number printed on it. Very cute.
The hike was a little tour of some old mining relics.  We had to get inside the cart.
Dad and Tyce taking the paddle board for a spin.
A kind soul shared some worms with our group.  We didn't have any hooks, but that didn't stop these two from trying to catch some fish...just tie the worms to the fishing line. Ha ha.

The kids played so nicely in the sand.  Kids, sand, and water = such a great time.

 Libbie
Mia. So glad my girls are more brave than their chickeny mother.

See what I mean. Hours of fun.

Grandma also put together some minute-to-win-it games. Adults vs. teenagers.
This evil pregnant woman was trying to hit me with a snowball.
 More gondola.
Baseball and frisbee at the park.
Tyce trying to pretend he's well-behave and cute all at the same time.  I almost buy it.
 Jaren and Wyatt
These guys spent lots of time making "wanted" posters on napkins and pinning them up throughout the house.
 The cool kids.
Gavin took Claire out on the board. What a good cousin.
Spikeball was a favorite this reunion.  Nathan and Mara were proud to have sleighed the dragon (aka Caden and Brennan) toward the end of the trip. Nathan only sacrificed one of his toes to accomplish this feat. It has yet to heal. Other highlights of the reunion include, a big hike for some, the newly-wed game where Nathan and I schooled everyone (there's a first for everything ;)),  a murder mystery hosted by Grandma, shopping downtown, and some mountain biking. So glad we could get together in such lovely country with such lovely people.
