Marchy things

Jaren turned the ripe-old-age of 7 this year!  My, oh my how fast he's growing up.

He chose to have a  NERF party with his cousins and aunts and uncles.  First we ate Monte Cristo sandwiches with chips and fruit.  Then we set to work making these fun homemade nerf shooters.
Down to the basement we went where we practiced our accuracy skills on lots of different targets.  I'd say the theme was a "hit". Bud-um-chhhh!  After they'd had their fill of target shooting, the parents quickly excited so the kids could have an all out NERF war.  We only had a few casualties.

Green pancakes and syrup on St. Patty's day.
Tyce was so proud of himself when he came down for breakfast this day.  Check out all that green he picked out to wear.  He was set on not getting pinched.

The Eskelsens and Grandma and Papa were in town for a week or so.  After much pleading, I checked Libbie and Mia out of school so we could meet up with cousins for ice cream at Rockwell.  I'm glad these guys are friends.
The big guy had a big birthday this year!  The beginning of his day started pretty rough when we were doing a long run before he left for work.  We were running on a trail in the dark when he unfortunately rolled his ankle on a rock.  He tried to hobble home but soon sent me back home for the car to pick him up.  Major bummer.   I think we were both quite afraid it was broken. Thankfully he was able to get a priesthood blessing from Caleb and Donald when he got to work and it appears to have mostly been just a bad sprain.  The kids planned a fun dinner with a cowboy theme.  We ate burgers and cowboy caviar and then enjoyed the evening together.
Mia put this fun collage together as a fun surprise.
The boys are always so excited to help open gifts.
