Fun Stuff

Back in January all of Nathan's family made their way to Southern California to surprise Grandma Cardon for her birthday.  While the surprise element was a little lacking, we still had a good time together.  We went to the beach a couple times, to the Mormon Battalion Museum, visited Point Loma, accidentally went to a Spanish ward for church, visited the San Diego Temple, went to a fun kids' museum, had cousin sleepovers, played funny games at night with the adults. There were also many drink runs.  The men were in search of the latest and greatest beverages.  One of the disgusting ones they decided to purchase included one that tasted like a Christmas tree. Eww. I don't think they discovered any keepers.

Wyatt and Jaren digging away at the beach.  I love that kids could dig and dump and dig and dump all day long at the beach.  It's really one of my most favorite things to do.
Miss Claire enjoying the beach scene.

Jaren asked us to please make him into a mermaid.

The second time we went to the beach was quite different than the first but still memorable and fun.  When we left the resort, it was sunny and around 70 degrees.  After the 30-minute-drive to get to the beach, the shoreline was completely covered in fog and it was around 55 or so.  It was a unique experience.

Aunt Crystal helping Tatum navigate the beach.
There was also a fun game of football that ensued.  I chose to be photographer.  Good thing too...check out this action shot. Nephew shoves aunt in back.  Ha ha.
Everyone was quite cold after a bit.  Here we are winding down our time at the beach.
Mallory at Point Loma...quite the view of the San Diego area.  Also, a fun, historic lighthouse you can tour.
 Libbie and Kelbie
They rented this for a bit and cruised around the beach.  Pretty fun.
One last picture of Mia and Gavin at the beach.
