Making hiking bags with Grandma ( we didn't actually get to hike much because the weather was quite uncooperative, but it sure made for some great thunder and beautiful rainbows!)
With the cooler temperatures, the kids had a blast using the cabin's hot tub.
Our first full day together, we went to Breckenridge to check out the resort and ride the free gondola. We saw moose, deer, and a beaver.
There was also a large chunk of snow on the mountain the kids had fun sliding around on. Oh, and she's a great sister!
Cute Mia by the dirty snow patch.
Notice the smile. It's his trademark these days when the camera's on him.
I couldn't get enough of the scenery.
These two are always up to something.
Again with the ?smile?
They think they're too big for the playground we were visiting. Sad.
A boy and his stick.
Getting ready for a fun game.
We did take one quick little hike/walk when it stopped raining one day. Gorgeous!
Chief Rich.
He may look innocent, but on this trip we learned this baby boy might be part vampire. Poor Declan was the prime victim of his chompy teeth. We hope to resolve this issue the next time we interact.
Having a good ol' time at the cabin.
Our kids got to go fishing for the first time as well. Mia, Mallory, and Jaren could have cast their line over and over again all day if we would have let them . It was quite adorable to watch them in action. No fish were caught, but that didn't seem to bother them too much.
Snack time.
Kelbie taking good care of little Ella.
The older cousins really are the greatest to help out with all the littles.
Jaren having a blast.
Gavin looking a little too grown up.
Mallory helping Tatum try to fish.
Brennan and Caleb were having a World's Strongest Men competition. The kids had a great time finding giant rocks for them to hurl into the lake.
One night, brave Grandma and Grandpa kept all 17 grandkids at the cabin while the weary parents headed out for a night on the town. Unfortunately, it decided to pour rain that evening, and we could only get outside seating at the restaurant. Thankfully we were in good company, the food wasn't too shabby.
More fun in the hot tub.
Grandma got the kids these retro water games, which they loved.
We rented bikes one day and rode around Lake Dillon. Caleb pulled the two babies who slept some and cried some.
It was just so gorgeous. I hope to repeat this activity in the near future.
Pit stop.
Pure joy!
Fun little hiding spot.
Sweet minute-to-win-it games. The girls clearly dominated, but the boys (who cheated) think they won.
Sucking up marshmallows.
This sums up our energy level after such an eventful week of fun.
Jaren snuggling his new Spidey wrestling buddy he scored at the cousin exchange.
The whole bunch. Love and miss them all.
