Always hope it will never end

The last weekend in July we trekked to Logan to see the Martin Harris Pageant with the Roblyers.  First stop, the hotel room, then to dinner at Firehouse.  We brought in quite the crowd...13 kids, four adults.  Needless to say, our dinners with just couples are a little more relaxing, but it wasn't too bad.

We "had" to get some Aggie Ice Cream before the pageant.  It was quite the sacrifice after stuffing ourselves on pasta and bread.
Jaren was off making a new best friend so he missed being in the photo.
The weather was perfect weather,  and we got seats that worked perfect for us with lots of leg room and grass for the kids to roll around on.  The pageant itself was iffy :).

One day on our way to Target, we saw the Wienermobile.  Couldn't pass up this photo op.  The kids didn't even know anything about it so I took the opportunity to educate them.

We took a beautiful hike to Catherine Pass with Caleb, Marci, and their boys.  It looked stormy upon our arrival, but we decided to go anyway.  It got really cold, really quick but the rain and lightning stayed mostly away.

Loved all the wild flowers.

We ate a picnic dinner at the lake.

Shaved ice with Hannah and the girls after a swim at their community pool.
A hot night at the zoo with these crazy dino treats.

We tortured the kids with several longer bike rides this summer.  This ride was around the highland area.  It was a hot day and we made lots of water stops to try to keep spirits up.  Jaren was a real trooper and my buddy for most the ride.

On the home stretch.

Grabbing a treat at Slurp.

We always wish that summer would just keep going and going.  Love the lazy days in the sun!
