Jaren liked the root beer though it appears.
Jaren also liked the abundance of snails. This boy is in heaven when these creatures appear.
We stopped at the old time grocery store in historic downtown St. George. The kids chose a soda and a treat.
Then we headed out to Pine Valley to see their historic chapel. We got to have a tour and hear about the building's history. I forgot to take any pictures as we were very concentrated on not allowing Jaren and Tyce to disrupt the tour for other people. Next we went to one of the sites of the Mormon Massacre. It was very eye-opening and humbling. At the recommendation of the Roblylers we also stopped to get a pie at a little store in Veyo. It was soooo delicious! Again, forgot to take a picture of the pie's glory.
Carousal rides near the St. George tabernacle and the children's museum. Only Jaren, Claire, and Tyce decided to ride. The other kids were too cool. Sad.
Jaren would make for an interesting president. He was excited to try his hand at democracy at the "free" children's museum. The kids had a great time here. We only needed to leave because Tyce was getting an eye for human baby flesh. Oh boy! The adventures.
Jaren riding through the pretend security screening machine. Never a dull moment.
All the kids were a little too excited to pretend they were disabled. Here they are seeing how good they could play basketball from a wheelchair.
While Tyce took a much-needed nap in the car, Nathan took the kids on this tour of one of Brigham Young's homes. Tycie boy woke up just in time for a picture before we leaving to grab some dinner.
This night we ate dinner at The Crepery. It was pretty decent. The kids thought these swanky chairs were fun.
On Sunday, we went to church, lazed around,
Yep, like I said, never a dull moment. I think he's tasting moss?
Mia looking glamorous on the red rock.
Checking out the puddles.
then rushed to Snow Canyon for a little exploring. Our trip to climb a little was cut short by a GIANT thunder/rainstorm that rolled in.
When we got back to the condo, the weather wasn't so bad so we went on a walk. Nathan showed us a wall of snails which turned into us carrying lots and lots of nasty snails back to our room. We had some kids with some seriously slimy hands. Whatever keeps them happy and busy right?

The girls were on a quest to see who could find the tiniest snail. As you can see, Claire has a hand full.
After our walk, we cooked breakfast for dinner and then settled in for a night of board games since the weather turned scary again. The little boys watched a movie while the rest of us played Clue and then tried to start playing Bohnanza. Sadly, about this time, Tyce decided to launch his metal water bottle in the direction of a 55 inch tv. It was quite the scarring experience for all of us since we then got to end our fun trip with a not-so-fun trip to Wal-Mart to replace the condo's nice tv. Oi! We definitely tend to leave our mark wherever we go these days.
Here is Mallory trying to help the boys just calm down for a minute. They do look pretty cute while meditating.

I never heard about this trip! I talked to you guys on the last day but didn't hear much about it. Looks like a fun time, minus the tv of course. 😬 Why was the museum "free"? Loved the picture of jaren going through the security thing. And I loved the picture of tyce holding the snails.
