Grandma invited me to come along with her to the Antiques Road Show. She was allowed to bring 4 items for the appraisers to check out. She brought an old clock that belonged to her grandpa, a framed picture, a doll from her childhood, and a ledger. None of her items were worth much monetarily, but it was a fun experience anyway.
We finally squeaked out a trip to the drive-in before school began. The kids love it. Me, not so much :)
Sprinkler under the tramp.
My little baby boy started preschool. How can this even be true. He was quite nervous about this transition, as was I. Thankfully, he's done splendidly.
The Eskelsen's came to town to drop Kelbie off at BYU. As you can see, they were excited to have Rich to torture.
Jaren entered 1st Grade with Mrs. Sheiss. He's rocking it!
Claire is in 3rd Grade with Mrs. Casper. Her teacher is a dream and Claire is still LOVING school so much she's disappointed when there's a day off.
Mallory started 6th Grade with Miss Allred. All our girls have had this teacher, and she really is so great. Can't believe this is Mallory's last year of elementary!
Mia started school at Vista Heights Middle school. Seems like it was just yesterday she was running around the house yelling, "The weet! The weet," as she saw birds flittering around outside.
And now we have a high schooler! This picture of her holding up 10 fingers seriously weirds me out. How in the world?
Love my little bike-riders. I'm especially missing the bikes these wintry days since we have 3 schools to get to and from each day. I know, I know, first world problems.
For a couple months we got to hang out with Olivia most days when Courtney was at work. These two have a deep love/hate relationship. We tried to divert their energy with trips to the dino museum, parks, curiosity museum, farm country, picnic lunches, bike rides, and lots of time outside.
Nathan and I usually make a quick trip to Logan for the Top of Utah Half Marathon at the end of each August sans kids. This year however, we brought the hooligans along with us so we could hit up the Box Elder County Fair and Rodeo on Saturday. Friday night we had dinner at Firehouse Pizzaria (our favorite) and then got ice cream at Aggie Ice Cream (another favorite). Can you say, "True Aggie Night." It's so delicious.
We ran the race on Saturday morning with our buddies the Roblyers. Nathan got a new PR which was so great, and I did not. Then Nathan got to take part in this race tee-shirt history photo the race people were taking. He's wearing the shirt from 2011.
After the race, we HAD to hit up Aggie Ice Cream again. Ha ha. We are pathetic. Did I mention the "True Aggie Night" ice cream. SO good!
I was super pumped to do the rodeo with my mom, sis, and the kids. However, I think our tired legs made us a little irritable. I'm not sure after this experience we'll be needing to hit up another rodeo for quite some time. Ha ha.
Our peach tree grew it's first-ever peaches. So yummy.
We did our first frolf experience. The course was, ummm, interesting. Seemed a little underdeveloped and unkempt, but it was a fun time together.
We got to look for our discs in all sorts of unsanitary areas. ha ha
